Graduation Part 2
Now as promised… Or… Would I say… I managed to find my camera in my messy room…
My fellow colleague, Hannah, or whom I affectionately call neighbour as we will be desk-mates for the next three years.
My parents took the time off to celebrate the day with me. Coincidentally, it is my mummy’s birthday today. So… happy birthday Mummy!
Check out Gwyneth’s cool pair of pink converse.
My sister and my two nieces supported me as well…
Thereafter, we headed to Melben for a celebratory dinner. I love their prawn balls! It was a happy day, but definitely a very long one… For…
Gwyneth fell asleep whilst taking dinner!
Happy weekend. =)
London has Big Ben, we have the Flyer.
Hello everyone! How are you doing? =)
Well, two weeks ago it was Mother’s day and we brought our dearest mummy to sit the Flyer. We had great fun!
What I wore: Dress from Korea, 2.55, Tod’s jelly flats.
So what on earth is “The Flyer”? It is this huge Ferris wheel that overlooks Singapore’s main shopping and financial districts. About 20 people are packed into these air-conditioned capsules and are taken for a 30 minutes ride.
We were really lucky as the sky was just clearing up from a heavy down pour. Plus, we got to see dusk falling on the cityscape. It was so pretty and such a treat.
My fearless niece was busy prancing around the cabin and goofing around. She has zero fear for heights.
After a while, she got bored peeping at the other cabin and decided to snap pictures instead.
Except that she doesn’t know how to press the “snap” button and she just basically “viewed” the surroundings through the LCD. Oh well.
But these are the pictures that I took during the 30 minutes ride.
Click to see the enlarge version of the photo below. This was taken using one of the camera’s function. I like… I like!
Dusk in Singapore. So amazingly gorgeous.
This is my home. My country. Singapore.
Anyway, this is the newly opened bridge called “The Helix”. It links the city to the newly opened Marina Bay Sands.
See how the lighting has changed over the course of 30 minutes? It was night when we reached the end of our 30 minutes journey.
Well, my parents sure enjoyed the 30 minutes ride. And so did the littlest niece.
She says hi!
Hope you have a great week ahead!
Welcome to the world Vera!
She is here! My baby niece Vera, was born on 2nd August in the wee hours of the morning. She is a little bigger than Gwyneth at birth.
I haven’t gotten around to look at her for a long time due to the visitation hours restrictions.
But, from my short 2 hours with her, I can say that she is the opposite of Gwyneth - she hates the cold and she doesn’t really like noises.
She still has her baby smell, and she smells awesome!
Vera is still not coming…
If you have noticed, there has been a Vera tracker on my blog.
According to the widget, Vera is suppose to be born really soon. But, there is no sign that she wants to come out anytime soon!!!
Waiting patiently for the moment that our entire family will scramble to the hospital - Grandpa, grandma, the daddy, the mummy, gwyneth, the maid, and me in tow.
Meanwhile, I’ll just endure G’s non-stop screaming in my ears, the night bickering over nonsensical things like her story books, and the frequent punches that she gives me aongside of her trying to steal my glasses (or breaking them).
Vera is coming
My baby niece, Gwyneth, has brought much joy into my life.
She fights with me at night over the telephone; punches and kicks me, and pulls my hair and clothes. She whines and charms me into doing things for her. She pulls things out of my drawers and conveniently disposes of them into the bin. She destroys my precious gems and tears my work up. She is like the sister that I never knew existed.
It hasn’t quite settled in, but I have another niece on the way!
Vera will be born anytime this week.
The thought of the hustling and bustling around another kid in the family is getting me excited!
Our family is praying that Vera will be a quieter version of Gwyneth, more of a thinker and less of an athletic little girl who climbs onto chairs, beds, and stairs whenever she can slip away.
