Brighten me up
Care for some coloured candies for a dinner date?

The Immaculate French
The French are always so immaculately dressed. They always carry themselves with understated class and elegance, yet they are able to carry off the latest fashion trend to a tee.
How on earth do you make sure your hair stays in place, your dress is not crinkled, strutting in towering heels, and with 3 kids in tow? Beats me. Ask the French.

Nudes and Pink
Nudes and pink, just the right colour for work, play, and a date.
Clothes from Urban Outfitters.
Flats from American Eagle
It has only been a few days since I packed my bag to head back to school. By golly, I have been pampered by the city life that I find it so tiring to spend one hour and a half to travel to school! Gone are the days where I thought 30 minutes walk to school was peanuts.
Now, I need to stow away all my heelies, and bring out my flats.
Check out these funky animal-prints ballet flats from American Eagle. So out of this world, yet in easy-to-match-tones. If only I can walk as fast as the animals themselves.
200 post - Club Monaco
It’s my 200th post! And I shall celebrate it by blogging about one of my favourite brands - Club Monaco.
I’ve been a huge fan of Club Monaco, since the day I walked into their stores in Polo Park, Manitoba. I just love the simple style of their clothes - basic, smart and chic. Plus. the fabric used is luxurious, and the cut of their clothes is simply divine.
I was unfortunately, a rather poor student then, and I didn’t purchase any of their outfits, until I went to Washington D.C., and snag myself a cute tank top during their winter sales. I was so happy with it, I actually purchased the same top in two different colours.
Don’t you think their clothes screams modernity and femininity?
I got really excited during their summer 09 sales, and I got myself a sheer tank top with beautiful crochet detailing at 40% off. I also fell in love with a basic stripe khaki skirt, and didn’t mind paying the full price for it - I feel so lucky that I purchased the last piece that fits me!
I just can’t wait to see what they will be churning out for their 2010 collection.
Briathwaite Wallets
So you’ve collected a gazillion pair of shoes, stuffed four huge closets with clothes, filled five chests with jewellery, and have a shelf worth of designer bags. And the poor guy has only a pair of leather shoes and a business attire to match.
Seriously, sometimes it’s difficult to figure out what to get for daddy, or for that matter, any guy for their grand birthdays.
These wallets from Braithwaite look sleek, practical, and are an answer for the modern men who wants more than just a black leather wallet.
*Above: Orpheus, Cypress, and Raptured wallets from Braithwaite.
Call me a musician at heart, but I think the Orpheus wallet is so cool for that next-door-guitar-boy-that-you-hoped to-have-dated. I love the fact that it has specially created pockets to insert picks.
Cypress, is great for the young working adult who lives on credit cards. I like how it is made to look like paper.
Or how about Raptured - for that whimsical romantic traveller - who needs his credit cards and meet his arty side.
You can purchase Braithwaite’s wallets from their site.
Abercrombie Leather Slippers
About a year ago, my e-shopperholic-fanatic sister bought a pair of leather slippers from Abercrombie. I flipped out upon hearing that it cost more than SGD70.
Fast forward a year later, I take my words back.
They are really comfortable! And, they do subtly glam up an outfit.
Check these new designs. I’m so tempted to get a pair. Though the shipping price is roughly the same amount as the slippers. Darn.
Juicy Couture Peacock Earrings
I love this pair of earrings very much.
It is a 14k gold karat plated, adorned with rhinestones and pearl, exotic peacock chandelier by Juicy Couture, purchased from the local store. The bird features intricate gold wired work, and spots a movable tail that will sway with the wind.
I just love the wire work! To be honest, the earrings when looked from afar resembles beautiful chandelier earrings, that is adorned by an Indian princess - which is something I’ve always liked to collect since I was in middle school. Yet, when looked up close, is… a peacock!
Edun
One of the few things that I gained from my University education in Canada and in my last course of studies locally, was being eco-friendly.
Being pampered by convenience in Singapore - where you use a lot of plastic bags for take outs, grocery shopping, fashion shopping - I truly believe that we need to teach our younger generation the importance of being and going green.
I believe that if recycling bins were made accessible and bins emptied out regularly, and our people follow the simple rule of throwing waste into the appropriate bins, we can be a very spectacular clean and green Nation indeed.
I know this can’t be changed over night, but with long term education, the generation will be changed.
Well, why don’t we start with a little eco-friendly shopping!
Gorgeous outfits from Edun, a eco-clothes line by U2’s Bono and wife. I just love the luxe touch. Visit their shop here.
Mia’s Chanel
If bags could talk, Mia sure has conversations to last till the next millenium. Check out her extensive Chanel collection on her blog!
Mia is a Chanel fanatic. At the rate that her husband dotes on her - buying her all these Chanel bags and accessories - she is sure to book herself a front row seat in the near future.
Out of her entire collection, I’m most envious about her python clutch. I want one as well!!!
