David and Yan’s Wedding

I admit… I haven’t been hardworking to blog new stuff of late. My brain has been pretty occupied with manipulating matrices, visualising angles, and counting numbers.

Pretty nerdy stuff.

But the end is near, and celebratory mood is about to kick it. Till the next round of madness that is.

So to begin that craze, here are some photos that I took with my friends during a church wedding a month ago.

It was a day that felt more like church friends reunion than a church wedding.

Pardon the low quality photos, taken by my Iphone as I didn’t want to squeeze the camera into my sister’s precious Chanel.

Eileen and her baby! Eileen go way back with my sister. She is a great sister and leader who inspires.

Behold the pretty bridesmaid, Chai Ling. Chai and I go way back where we sqaubble with our youth members over the most nonsensical stuff. She’s definitely one of the prettiest counsellor there is.

wed3b

You know how people often say… 女大十八变? This surely describes my best pal’s younger sister, Adeline.

The wedding took 2 hours, and by the time the dinner had ended, I was pretty much low on energy…  A quick re-route to Cold Creamery @ HV fixed my need for sugar.

What I wore… Topshop tank with Bysi skirt and burgundy Chanel. Seen here with my own East-West Chanel instead.

Lol what a difference lighting makes for photo snapping on the Iphone.

Happy weekend everyone!

My new “It” bag.

Say hello to my first ever bag from Balenciaga.

When I was unwrapping the parcel… it felt so similar to the feeling I had when I was seeing my nieces for the first time after they were born.

I didn’t feel this way when I unwrapped my beloved 2.55!

My new baby in Sang. She is of the Maxi Twiggy style. Doesn’t she remind you of the notorious LV speedy?

I love I love I love…

Let’s move it, move it!

A month ago (yea, this is pretty back dated) I brought my adorable niece to Universal Studios. She was in love with the characters from Madagascar. Mind you, when I say in love… I seriously mean crazily in love.

She has been saying “Let’s move it, move it” every single day since ONE MONTH AGO!!!!

So here we are with the characters from Madagascar.

Here’s the lion…

us1

Here’s the Hippo… I like Hippos!

us2

And here are the penguins!

us3

And the monkey…

us6

Er, I guess it speaks about Gwyneth’s love for the monkey…

But I secretly love the giraffe the most…

us4

What I wore: Spaghetti dress from Uniqlo - oh so comfy in the burning 35 degrees, LV pouchette. Did I mention that I got a bad burn after being in the sun that day?

In the Madagascar zone, there is this carousel filled with almost life version of the characters. Due to Gwyneth’s enthusiasm about the whole “move it, move it” movement, we took the ride 4 times.

us9

Here’s Gwyneth’s solo picture with the gang…

us10

I know Gwyneth is looking forward to her next Universal Studios outing to do more “Move it, move it”

And I’m looking forward to waffle fries at the Friar’s counter. Yum!

London has Big Ben, we have the Flyer.

Hello everyone! How are you doing? =)

Well, two weeks ago it was Mother’s day and we brought our dearest mummy to sit the Flyer. We had great fun!

flyer11

What I wore: Dress from Korea, 2.55, Tod’s jelly flats.

So what on earth is “The Flyer”? It is this huge Ferris wheel that overlooks Singapore’s main shopping and financial districts. About 20 people are packed into these air-conditioned capsules and are taken for a 30 minutes ride.

flyer8

We were really lucky as the sky was just clearing up from a heavy down pour. Plus, we got to see dusk falling on the cityscape. It was so pretty and such a treat.

My fearless niece was busy prancing around the cabin and goofing around. She has zero fear for heights.

flyer3

After a while, she got bored peeping at the other cabin and decided to snap pictures instead.

flyer2

Except that she doesn’t know how to press the “snap” button and she just basically “viewed” the surroundings through the LCD. Oh well.

But these are the pictures that I took during the 30 minutes ride.

flyer4

Click to see the enlarge version of the photo below. This was taken using one of the camera’s function. I like… I like!

flyer5

Dusk in Singapore. So amazingly gorgeous.

This is my home. My country. Singapore.

Anyway, this is the newly opened bridge called “The Helix”. It links the city to the newly opened Marina Bay Sands.

flyer6

See how the lighting has changed over the course of 30 minutes? It was night when we reached the end of our 30 minutes journey.

Well, my parents sure enjoyed the 30 minutes ride. And so did the littlest niece.

She says hi!

flyer7

Hope you have a great week ahead!

High tea in pretty little dresses…

Ain’t this dress lovely?

LCdress

It’s so let’s go drink high tea at a cosy little shop.

Or how about this little dress?

LCdress

A romantic tea break with your loved ones?

How how about this dress?

Think white instead of black and grey instead of white. It’s so Chanel. A dinner at a high class restaurant perhaps?

Such pretty dresses… =D These were all recent purchases that my sister and I made at Lemon Chiffon. I’ll say that the shop owners are smart in creating an atmosphere to entice consumers to keep shopping shopping shopping!

My sister and I also purchased the items below…

We purchased the white-yellow dress instead of this grey one as it suited our skin tone better….

And my sister is still in her young-at-heart fashion phase…

Happy week everyone!

Jelly Flats

Forgive me, it is yet another blog about my shoe purchase!!!

I’m really excited about this find. I truly am.

I’ve fallen in love with my sister’s Chanel jewelled jelly flats that she bought in 2008. (SHHHH. Don’t tell her if not she’ll boast to me again!) Despite the exorbitant price, I think it’s a fantastic  purchase. This season Chanel came up with a similar jelly flats, but it wasn’t too fantastic. To my dismay, it looks kinda fake.

This is my sister’s Chanel jewelled jelly flats that I’ve since taken pride in wearing it frequently.

And this is Chanel’s jelly flats 2010.

And this is my recent purchase from Tod’s …

I like I like! It was the last pair in my size. =) And it is actually affordable! It ain’t priced at $500 bucks. Thank God!

I know what some of you may be thinking… Who in the sane mind buys jelly flats!!!! Afterall, they are just made up of plastic.

Well, in tropical Singapore where it frequently rains at the drop of a hat, I’ll say that owing a pair of jelly flats is practical. And who can resist such pretty jelly flats!!!

This ends my quest for jelly sandals. =D Happy happy!
