Chanel Love Day 4

Day four of Chanel love.

2.55 Black CC

How can I forget this black beauty? This lady is probably the Chanel bag that I carry out the most - chic, versatile, easy to match, and an instant glam to any outfit that I’m wearing.

Reissues are characterised by their distressed calf leather and metal chains. Truth be told, I prefer the material used for this than classic flaps. It is soft to touch - unlike the hardy cavier; yet not as easily scratched compared to lambskin surfaces.

Being petite in size, I bought this baby in the medium size; and it fits me to a tee. I can carry most of my stuff inside the bag comfortably - wallet, pouch and phone.

And I totally love the fact that it is suitable as a day to night bag.

So how did I obtain this baby? It wasn’t purchased in Singapore outlet; but hand-carried by my sister’s friend from the Paris outlet. I called the Paris outlet - spoke in French - and reserved it prior to being picked up.

The price of this bag in Singapore? SGD5000. Insane…

Chanel Love Day 3

Please bear with me as I adjust this site to align correctly.

Day three. Look! I’ve uploaded a new header. There is just something beautiful about changing weathers - between rain, snow and icicles. Sigh, I’ve reverted back to this till I’m able to iron out the problem. Sorry folks!

Reissue Bronze

Ah, a breath of fresh air. Kudos to my sister for getting this bronze reissue.

I have to admit when my sister wanted to buy this, even though I outrightly told her, “Good buy, good buy.”; I silently pondered, “what in the world is she thinking again?”

Three months later, I take all my words back.

She is easy to carry, and is pleasingly different from the classy black.

I think this is from Fall’08 or Spring’09 - got to check with my sister to verify. An absolute difficult find; not all Chanel carries this bronze and it’s elusive - at least that’s what the SA told me. And no, this was not purchased from Singapore nor the US.

In other words, my sister is lucky to have found it.

Another look, straight up front:

I long for the day, I can afford to buy one of these reissues in a different colour! For now, my classy black 2.55 is my best friend through day and night.

Chanel Love Day 2

Day two. Featuring my first ever CC.

Chanel East West 1

I’m pretty sure you have seen a blog or two on this classic East-West. Purchased this from my sister, who almost sold it to a second-hand shop dealer - I remember that that dealer was absolutely interested in this bag; she kept saying, “can sell for high price, I can quote you high price”.

The East West or E/W as some calls it or otherwise known as the pochette, measures 10″l x 5.5″h x 2″d. It is more suitable to be an evening bag than a day bag as you cannot put much inside - my wallet is big!

It spots a single bag strap that is found on all classic flaps - metal intertwined with leather. Recent addition to this family does have double straps.

The bag comes in silver or gold hardware; in cavier or lambskin.

In 2008, Christy Turlington was the muse of Karl Lagerfeld, and face of the East West bag.

Pretty girl, prettier bag.

Chanel Love Day 1

Hi folks! Hope everyone had a great start to the new year. =)

I’ve got a treat for you this week and the next. Uploads of the Chanels we (my sister and I) have at home. It is a modest collection indeed; but we love them all!

I shall upload one bag a day, to prevent over loading.

First up, this cool red arrived two days ago!

My sister’s classic flap from fall’09 in medium.

Chanel in Red

Love love love. The red has a blue tint. Most people flock to buy the chili red, but my sister bought this as she felt that it is easier to carry off and not so in-your-face.

Chanel Lock

My sister was pretty luck with this find. She secured this piece this month - which is way past Fall’09. So sometimes it does pay to just ask your friendly SA if they still have the piece; like how I had fallen in love with Le Duc earrings and they were re-produced the next year!

Anticipating my first red to be delivered soon.

Stay tune for the next Chanel bag upload!

Happy 2010!

Happy New Year!

This year is going to be such an exciting year, I can feel it in my bones.

As usual, I didn’t spend count down in public - celebrate count down in Times Square once and you can kiss all countdowns good bye - I spent it in the comfort of my home with my family.

Well, the first brilliant news of the year.

The much hyped about US$995 wallet on chains by Chanel are out! Not in the Singapore stores, but the US stores. They look delicious.

chanelwallet

This is not the wallet on chain; but the wallet. The wallet on chain in this colour retails for US$995. It comes in black, blue and white as well.

It’s freaking Ferrari red! And, it’s only US$995. The cheapest wallet on chain from Chanel ever.

I wonder how much will it retail in Singapore?

PS: I heard that they are cutting down on their production in an attempt to remain exclusive. I foresee the Chanel prices breaking through the roof once more in time to come.
