Juicy Couture Engagement Ring

Ain’t this a cutie?

If only the bling was real diamond.

I snag this ultra bling by Juicy Couture, through E-bay. Originally retailed for USD96, I got it for 20 bucks lesser. Still steep in my opinion, but totally worth it - I like the antique swarovski ribbon at the side - making this a girly candy rock.

On the side note, I’m eyeing at some real candy rock from Etsy. It’s really amazing what you can find online these days. Hopefully they won’t get snitched up this month!

Flats from American Eagle

It has only been a few days since I packed my bag to head back to school. By golly, I have been pampered by the city life that I find it so tiring to spend one hour and a half to travel to school! Gone are the days where I thought 30 minutes walk to school was peanuts.

Now, I need to stow away all my heelies, and bring out my flats.

Check out these funky animal-prints ballet flats from American Eagle. So out of this world, yet in easy-to-match-tones. If only I can walk as fast as the animals themselves.

Jill Stuart Lunch Tote

3807066164_c6507474a8last month, In Red gave its readers a Coach Poppy pencil case. For the month of August, In Red is giving its readers a Jill Stuart lunch tote bag.

Just like the Coach pencil case, the Jill Stuart lunch tote bag does not feel cheap, instead it feels awfully durable - it is made out of cotton; spots a cutsie pink apple motif.

In Red august is available at Kinokuniya bookstores for $19.10.

I purchased the last copy of the magazine at the Ngee Ann City outlet. So do check out the other Kinos for this magazine! :)

PS: Sorry for the poor lightings, I was feeling a little lazy on a rainy day.

200 post - Club Monaco

It’s my 200th post! And I shall celebrate it by blogging about one of my favourite brands - Club Monaco.

I’ve been a huge fan of Club Monaco, since the day I walked into their stores in Polo Park, Manitoba. I just love the simple style of their clothes - basic, smart and chic. Plus. the fabric used is luxurious, and the cut of their clothes is simply divine.

I was unfortunately, a rather poor student then, and I didn’t purchase any of their outfits, until I went to Washington D.C., and snag myself a cute tank top during their winter sales. I was so happy with it, I actually purchased the same top in two different colours.

Don’t you think their clothes screams modernity and femininity?

I got really excited during their summer 09 sales, and I got myself a sheer tank top with beautiful crochet detailing at 40% off. I also fell in love with a basic stripe khaki skirt, and didn’t mind paying the full price for it - I feel so lucky that I purchased the last piece that fits me!

I just can’t wait to see what they will be churning out for their 2010 collection. :)

Happy Birthday Singapore!

Happy Birthday Singapore!

We turn 44 this year.

I love this year’s NDP song. It is written and sung by an Indie band - a testimony and reflection of the style of the upcoming generations.

A pity I can’t catch the live show of the National Day Parade. But, we can all stop to recite the pledge at 8.22pm today. :)

Solar Eclipse 22 July

Singapore had only a window of half an hour or less worth of the longest solar Eclipse in the century. When that day came and went, we had none… Because it was raining cats and dogs!

Pictures of the Solar Eclipse captured from around the world, taken from Telegraph UK. Click here for the full gallery.

Indian’s Holy man gather to witness this natural phenomenon of the Century.

Don’t you think this looks like a cut-out from Hero’s screen shot? Only that this is the real thing.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to witness first hand this natural hoo-ha, I have to wait till I’m aged 150 to witness the next one. I’m happy though, that I did witness another Century-wait phenomenon when I was about nine years of age - I saw and smelled the World’s smelliest flower blossoming in our very own Botanical Gardens - that flower only blossoms once every century.

Polar Bears and Their Icy Snack

One of my favourite animals has got to be the Polar Bear. White and fluffy - they are really cute! A pity that I missed out on the chance to visit wild polar bears in the Capital of polar bears (2 days train ride up Winnipeg) due to my examinations.

Here are some pictures of Reiko and Yukio receiving presents.

Briathwaite Wallets

So you’ve collected a gazillion pair of shoes, stuffed four huge closets with clothes, filled five chests with jewellery, and have a shelf worth of designer bags. And the poor guy has only a pair of leather shoes and a business attire to match.

Seriously, sometimes it’s difficult to figure out what to get for daddy, or for that matter, any guy for their grand birthdays.

These wallets from Braithwaite look sleek, practical, and are an answer for the modern men who wants more than just a black leather wallet.

OrpheusCypressraptured

*Above: Orpheus, Cypress, and Raptured wallets from Braithwaite.

Call me a musician at heart, but I think the Orpheus wallet is so cool for that next-door-guitar-boy-that-you-hoped to-have-dated. I love the fact that it has specially created pockets to insert picks.

Cypress, is great for the young working adult who lives on credit cards. I like how it is made to look like paper.

Or how about Raptured - for that whimsical romantic traveller - who needs his credit cards and meet his arty side.

You can purchase Braithwaite’s wallets from their site.
