Do it, the chunky bracelet way.
I love jewellery. Choosing the right jewellery to wear, can make an ordinary outfit sizzle, help project your style, and differentiate your clothes from someone else’s.
Every lady should pair their plain outfit with at least one jewellery to brighten up the whole look.
My current jewellery craze has to be the chunky bracelet. It is so easy to carry them off. With just a single piece, or many clashing pieces put together, I just love the way it can dress up or down a look; helping you to finish up the bohemian-chick, the rocker, or the sweet princess look.
Move aside the all boring single strand of 925 silver that shows no character (not even close to being called a charmed bracelet), and welcome the wide range of bracelets - wood, resin, beads, pearls, diamante, metal and shells. And be free to mix and match your entire collection to your heart’s content. That is what I love about bracelets.
It all started with my love for indie bangles. Believe it or not, I started collecting indie bangles when I was in secondary school, before the entire bohemian faze started. I was just so intrigued by the dazzling array of colourful bangles that could be found in Little India (an area in Singapore that sells Indian food, clothes, and spices), that I spent some good money buying them.
For ladies who have small wrists, and is unable to carry off huge chunky bracelets, because they constantly slip off the wrists, do not fear! There is another alternative to styling up the “chunky bracelet” way. Simply purchase bold stretched bracelets (those that have an elastic in them), or smaller bracelets with hinges in them. Such bracelets can be easily found in shops like Diva, Topshop, F21, and Little MIss Selfridge, (and they won’t burst your budget!).
1) Just mix and match the elastic bracelets carefully according to your outfit (colour and thickness) and slap them on! 2) Put on one or two big chunky bracelets in and put on the elastic bracelet last (to prevent the chunky bracelets from falling out). It works for me!
