No longer a westerner.
It’s official, I’m now now longer a westerner. After months of packing, I have finally moved into my new residence. The entire house moving procedure was exhausting.
Spent the entire day unwrapping all the boxes and putting them into the new cabinets. (It ain’t fair that my cabinet is the smallest in the entire house as my room carries some important pipe fixture.) Therefore lesser cabinet spaces! So out goes more than half of my property, and thus more tedious packing and rummaging through what to throw away.
My room is now a pretty blend of lilac, dark zen walnut and white trimming. In order to balance the colour harmony in my room, my room accessories need to be either transparent or white.
The two most interesting discovery that I made today is that 1. I really appreciate living in a one level apartment, compared to a multi storey home. My legs ache from the many ascend and descend. 2. The next time I ever move, I will always need to have my toothbrush and toothpaste and small samples of toiletries with me. (Till now I have not been able to locate my old toothbrush. I’m indefinitely thankful for the spares my mum keeps).
Well, so tired from the packing, shall just collapse and enjoy my new bed! =D
Ikea Christmas Range
It is less than a month away from Christmas! I am so excited!
Since many months ago, I have been tidying up my house. Basically I live out of boxes now.
I am looking forward to have the house decorated with all the nice cute baubbles. A real Christmas tree would be a plus! Look what I found from Ikea! Very pretty decorations.
A day at the zoo!
Pretty butterflies at the zoo.
The giraffe and the shortie. Or so says my 3 friends.
August Rush
First at foremost, just want to shout out to my best guy friend Tommy Boy a very HAPPY 23rd Birthday! Bro, you are the best. May the Lord bless you abundantly.
I watched August Rush today. It’s a beautiful show. Mainly because the gist of the show is about music, so it touches a string in my heart. Indeed music is a language by itself.
August Rush is about a little boy who seeks to find his parents. Raised in an orphanage since he was a baby, he ventures out at age eleven into the streets of New York. By a twist of fate, he was talent spotted and was made a busker. After a raid, he ends up at a church and was once again talent spotted and was given a spot in Julliard’s. During class time, Rush will compose his own music. As magical as it sounds (it must be in view of Christmas), his works caught the eyes of his tutor and wah la! he was given a chance to debut his works as a composer no less at a Spring time concert in central park.
Adding to the magical atmosphere, Rush’s real parents happen to be talented musicians as well. His mother happened to be invited to be the guest cellist for the same concert. On the other hand, his father, a fabulous Irish guitarist turns up in New York to find Rush’s mother.
And Rush’s dream comes true. He found his parents.
Ahhh…. Now I’m all set for Christmas. =)
